The Healthy Asian Youth (HAY) Summer Program is a six-week summer camp that involves students in an interactive curriculum full of fun and learning. Summer HAY’s mission is to prevent summer learning loss, which disproportionately affects low-income youth in the Columbus area. Programming for the summer include a mathematics and reading enrichment course, health and community engagement class, cultural workshops, and field trips. HAY’s partnership board for the summer program include Franklin County Department of Jobs and Family Services (FCDJFS), Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, Mentoring Center of Central Ohio, Ohio Afterschool Network, LeaderSpark, Fraternal Order of Police, Westside Community Health Advisory Committee, Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services, Cardinal Health, Transit Arts, Parkour Horizons, CK Lee Tae Kwon Do, and many more.
